I am using a fake version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit for more than a year now. During this time, I've faced several problems that led me to choose a genuine copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I'm wondering if it's possible to reinstall the new version without losing my data, since technically this would be a downgrade. One issue I've encountered is that some programs don't recognize the OS and assume it's Linux, which can cause problems like missing downloads for Firefox or issues with Netflix due to incorrect specifications. In the meantime, before purchasing the legitimate system, is there any way to resolve these issues so I can watch Netflix on my desktop as soon as possible?

It doesn’t look like fixing the issue is worth the effort. Your choices might be setting up Linux (though it likely won’t support Netflix natively, so you’d need Wine, which could fail) or reusing Windows in trial mode without activation, which seems like the most practical path.

Keep the original version secure and follow your Jack Sparrow style. For updates or reinstallation, use your genuine key.
