Restart the PC upon launching Elden Ring.
Don’t worry about the beta BIOS. If they’re not done, just move on.
There's generally no need to update the BIOS "in order" you can go directly to the latest one. They are not incremental updates but always replace/overwrite the complete image. If a previous one is required, there's normally a special note telling you so. Afaik, that is only the case if it also updates some firmware in addition to the BIOS. In that case you can often also not go back to an older version.
It seems odd that beta BIOS versions exist for a lower version than the full release BIOS.
It seems odd since I usually expect these items to be gone after the next update. It might mean they were included in a previous release that was dropped.
I anticipated that possibility. It might be RAM-related if the system restarts unexpectedly, possibly due to a load spike or random reboots. Let's check your RAM. Download Testmem5, apply the 1usmus configuration. https://www.overclock.net/threads/memory...s.1751608/ If Testmem5 succeeds, access your side panel and gently tap both RAM modules with your finger while the PC runs. If this causes a reboot or freeze, take out the RAM stick and clean the contacts using plain paper or a rubber eraser, also clearing any dust from the RAM slots. Repeat the test.
I started the program and adjusted both sides, checking the dimmer tops. Nothing changed. The memory test showed no errors, just a confirmation that testing finished successfully. My CPU handles up to 3200MHz, and my RAM is set at 3600MHz. I plan to try matching my memory speed to 3200MHz, and I’ll also reinstall the graphics card and power cables. My mouse cursor still stutters sometimes, and YouTube flashes unexpectedly. Elden Ring is working fine. I also ran a crash log after playing Uncharted last night, but I’m unsure what caused it. The screen went black and displayed a crash report tool. Spoiler.
The story keeps unfolding... I noticed this warning in the event viewer occasionally: Spoiler appears to be widespread enough that relevant results pop up. It’s odd when my PC woke up recently and took an eternity to boot up the desktop and its icons, just like a file explorer. I changed the CPU voltage from 1.0 to 1.35 at 3.5 ghz. I’m not sure if I mentioned this yet, but I replaced my power supply with an 850 Corsair top-tier unit. Elden Ring runs smoothly, but Warzone 2.0 crashes every time it starts without issue. Another AAA title fails 7 out of 10 times on startup or when launching the main menu. It varies. I attempted to shut down everything except the computer and one monitor—speakers, second screen... it doesn’t matter. I’m guessing I’m getting enough power delivery. It’s strange since I can handle everything except AAA games. I can run Unreal Engine, big DaVinci Resolve projects, and any indie titles, but some games still won’t launch.
