Hello, I noticed you unplugged the RAM while the computer was off and then saw smoke after reconnecting. It seems like the smoke originated from the RAM slots, possibly a capillary or power input area. I've tried various solutions but nothing resolved the issue. You mentioned using three RAM modules and that removing one caused it to happen again.

It seems it's already connected and restarts now.

You disconnected the power, installed a RAM module correctly, restarted the system, and then noticed some smoke. The computer keeps restarting endlessly and doesn’t load Windows.

I only ever applied overclocking in Bois when it was running at maximum performance.

I only hear about damage or a bad RAM installation, it’s hard to picture exactly what happened. It seems the mainboard might be failing, do you have a backup unit? Have you tested different RAM modules and slots to check for compatibility?

I've tested several RAM modules in all the slots, but I don't have any spare parts. The main issue is my LGA 1156 motherboard, which is quite old.

This link appears to point to a product page for a LGA1156 motherboard. It may not be an ideal alternative depending on your needs.
