I'm facing a tough situation here. The landlord is away, and the modem/router/switch is malfunctioning upstairs. This has made me reconsider my decisions, such as opting for streaming instead of physical media. Is there a way to restart it, like a command to reboot? I’d like to turn it off and on again. I have the choice of playing a round of roulette by flipping fuses at the street fusebox… but that seems too extreme. I’m starting to feel desperate; it feels like I’m in a remote area without good connectivity. I’m connected to Wi-Fi, which is all I can manage right now. I have an incomplete Ethernet cable and might try it if it simplifies access. When trying to enter addresses in the browser, I often get redirected to a lower IP, suggesting it’s likely an ASUS router with a ZyXEL P2812ac combo unit.

You likely need direct interaction with the router to restart it. Consider getting a more affordable alternative if you're looking for a better Wi-Fi solution.

Launch the command prompt on Windows and input ipconfig to find the router's IP address (gateway). You can then open your browser and enter it to connect. It might show a restart option on the screen.

The issue didn't resolve. Access problems seem to point to a faulty router or modem. I quickly read the answers you posted and forgot to respond. Internet remains down; the ISP support will likely ask me to restart it. I tried contacting the smart meter operators, but they declined due to regulations. They suggested reaching out to their subdivision, though I missed their opening hours.

Do you have control over the circuit breakers? If yes, you can switch them on and off.

Igor, it seems mixed but mostly true. The main fuse in the basement doesn't impact the second floor where the equipment is set up. The street fuse opens using a female-triangle key and likely holds trays with NH fuses.
