I need to restore Windows while preserving my games. I’ve moved all my titles to another storage device. My system uses a compact case with a small M.2 slot under the motherboard, holding 2TB of games. Removing it is difficult, and I have an SSD that can be detached easily. I tried using the 'Reset your PC' feature, which claimed it would retain my data but warned it would delete every game—even though none are on the C drive. My main concern is reinstalling Windows onto the C drive without affecting the M.2 slot. I recall that installing from a USB allows partitioning and a clean install, but I want to avoid rebuilding the whole PC twice. Can you suggest a method that keeps my games intact while letting me reinstall Windows safely?

The optimal approach is to utilize your current setup and concentrate on improvements. Windows doesn't require frequent reinstallations. Should you encounter issues with your existing installation, feel free to reach out for assistance.
