Restart COM device without rebooting when it's already connected actively
Stop all interactions with the COM device once the problematic code executes. These unstable connections often fail to close, making the device inaccessible. Disabling or uninstalling it isn't possible until the system restarts, which risks losing internet access. I've used pnputil and devcon both without success. When navigating the connection hierarchy (not sure of the exact term) and attempting to disable the USB hub, the same problem persists. Also, disconnecting this device remotely from a headless PC isn't feasible at the moment.
