I possess an RTX 3060Ti and an i5-12400F equipped with 32GB of RAM. From the start, I thought performance was lacking, especially in CS:GO where I consistently achieved around 200fps across all resolutions and settings. This suggests a CPU limitation rather than a GPU issue. I attempted to run GPU-intensive titles like COD-Warzone 2.0, which performed adequately at lower resolutions when I adjusted settings. However, even with reduced graphics quality, I noticed minor frame rate drops—sometimes around 76 FPS at 90p versus my usual 1440p. I also tried several demanding games and observed consistent slight discrepancies in FPS.

I checked power usage and found that at CPU temperatures near 80°C, the system throttled to around 55W. I installed ThrottleStop and increased the core clock limit to unlocked mode, but the GPU still struggled to maintain higher FPS. Running benchmarks after adjusting voltage and core clock settings showed the GPU core voltage fluctuating wildly between 950mV and 1050mV, yet the clock never exceeded 1920MHz. The voltage adjustments didn’t resolve the issue.

I then upgraded my motherboard and performed an overclock, but the GPU remained capped around 950mV despite higher voltage attempts. It seems the hardware is physically constrained. Given the limitations, upgrading to a more powerful motherboard or switching to a different CPU might be necessary. Since you have a 500W 80Plus Platinum PSU and no additional components, the bottleneck appears to be firmware or thermal constraints rather than power supply.

Your RTX 3060Ti and i5-12400F are quite powerful for Warzone 2.0. Did you disable the FPS cap in CS:GO? Which tools are you using to track GPU frequency and voltage? Simply adjusting the voltage without checking other factors isn’t effective. You should determine whether power or voltage is restricting performance. These modern graphics cards tend to increase their speed significantly as long as temperature, power, and voltage aren’t limiting. You can usually keep the Base + Boost settings as they define the minimum and maximum GPU speeds. Often, just tweaking the Boost frequency is enough, leaving Base unchanged. The RTX 3060Ti specs show a base clock of 1410 MHz and a boost clock of 1670 MHz. Running at 1920–1950 MHz is well within that range, so the card should operate smoothly. Are your 32GB of system memory at a stable frequency? If it’s running at JEDEC speeds (around 2666 MHz or less), you might be facing memory bandwidth issues. What is your motherboard model? Also, the i5-12400F has a maximum power rating of 65W, not 55W. It can handle short bursts of high turbo speeds, reaching about 4.4 GHz, which lets the CPU reach around 117W for brief periods.
