A year ago, I acquired my computer from Zoostorm. The hardware specifications are as follows: Processor – i7-7700 (running at 4GHz with an overclock), Graphics Card – GTX 1050 Ti 4GB (with a minor overclock), Memory – 8GB at 1064MHz, Motherboard – H110M-R, and Storage – a 931GB WDC WD10EZEX-60WN4A0 hard drive. During gameplay, particularly in titles like Fortnite, I’m experiencing increasingly apparent frame rate fluctuations, sometimes dropping to as low as 1-30fps with frequent spikes. This issue is exacerbated when other programs, such as Opera, are running and impacts nearly all of my games. I need assistance resolving these frame rate instabilities; they render the games unplayable. Speccy readings while idle (during a download) can be found at http://prntscr.com/os73eg

Insufficient memory—8 gigabytes—will often be exhausted by games, leading them to access data from the hard drive, a considerably slower method than using RAM. A minimum of 16 gigabytes is advised for gaming purposes. Additionally, your hard drive’s performance is contributing to the problem due to its inherent slowness, resulting in noticeable stuttering. Installing an SSD and increasing your RAM to 16GB would probably resolve these difficulties.

The memory clock rate is disappointingly sluggish, particularly considering it’s DDR4, and utilizing just one RAM module isn't optimal. I recommend purchasing either a dual-channel kit with 2400 MHz sticks or an equivalent speed 8GB kit to provide a total of 16 GB. Could you supply the direct link to the system from Zoostorm?

Insufficient memory—8 gigabytes—is often inadequate, as many games rapidly deplete this storage and begin accessing data from the hard disk drive, a considerably slower method than using RAM itself. A minimum of 16 gigabytes is advised for gaming purposes. Furthermore, your hard drive's performance is contributing to your problems due to its inherent slowness, leading to noticeable frame rate drops. Installing an SSD and increasing your RAM to 16GB would probably resolve these difficulties.

Thank you for your response; here’s the link, though I didn't purchase it from this location, it’s identical:
https://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/…-dvd-rw...ersion.asp

I will investigate suitable RAM modules for a 2x8GB configuration, and I'll also look for a quality SSD to transfer my Windows onto it – hopefully that will resolve the issue.

I also want my video games to be located on the solid-state drive, and not just Windows.

Frankly, that hard drive is perfectly suitable if you’re satisfied with the loading speeds. I don't anticipate it significantly impacting gaming performance unless memory is swapping to it, but a solid-state drive will primarily reduce load times and won’t substantially improve stuttering. My recommendation would be to prioritize acquiring a dual-channel RAM kit and explore your options from there. If issues persist, then consider an SSD.
