Resolved: Mysterious MSI Afterburner Setting
Greetings. I’m seeking assistance in deciphering the function of a specific setting within the MSI Afterburner user interface, as illustrated below. This option appears to cycle between two distinct configurations when activated:
Thank you in advance for any insights regarding this feature!

Should you install several graphics cards, you can choose the specific card to modify its settings within the main properties section. If your graphics cards are identical, it’s advisable to activate “Synchronize settings for similar graphics processors.” However, if you possess different graphics cards—for example, a GTX 970 and a GTX 960—do not enable this option, as MSI Afterburner might then attempt to apply faster clock speeds to a card that could be unsuitable for such higher speeds.
Greetings, Kerberos!
This aligns with my initial belief—that it involves replicating or synchronizing GPU performance in some way—though the detailed breakdown of the GPU specifications initially misled me to think it was a more complex setup. It seems logical that matching GPUs would be necessary for synchronization to function effectively. Could you tell me if this is the case?
Thank you once more, Kerberos.

Got it; that settles that. I do not have identical GPU's, so I will not be messing around with that setting any more.
Thank you very much for your help Kerberos. You look to be a great asset to this community and I'm glad to have posted this thread when I did. Thank you again and have a wonderful night!
