My graphics card, a 2700x and 2080 combination, frequently struggles to maintain a consistent 60 frames per second, even with ray tracing set to the highest settings at 1440p resolution. I find NVIDIA’s DLSS technology unsatisfactory due to its noticeable negative effect on image clarity.

Advanced rendering technology, DLSS, employs artificial intelligence (leveraging mathematical algorithms) to predict an image's appearance. Rather than demanding heavy processing from the central processor, it analyzes existing visual information—including prior frames and surrounding details—to estimate portions of the upcoming frame. This method reduces strain on your graphics card, requiring significantly less GPU power than running without it. Stuttering can occur when the video card lacks sufficient memory to adequately handle advanced ray tracing features, necessitating the utilization of slower storage mediums such as RAM or hard drives, which can introduce interruptions. Implementing a solid-state drive or upgrading to more/faster memory might also alleviate this issue.
