Several years ago, I acquired this laptop, and the screen freezing began approximately a year ago. Despite reinstalling Windows 10 and switching to a solid-state drive, the issue persists. Furthermore, the device excessively heats up when running games after just a few minutes. Interestingly, the freezing stops entirely when I disconnect the power adapter, though the laptop's battery is aging and loses charge quickly, preventing extended gaming sessions without being connected.
My hardware specifications are as follows:
Intel i5-5200U (2.7GHz)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 950M
4GB+4GB RAM
1920x1080 Display
Seagate Barracuda HDD 1TB
Apacer AST280 M.2 SSD 120GB
Hello, experiment with the advanced power setting when playing games while connected to an outlet to observe any changes. However, beyond that, what titles are you currently experiencing? A processor with just two cores and four threads will struggle significantly with more recent games, and your graphics card is somewhat limited in performance. Installing a solid-state drive will speed up loading times, but it won't substantially enhance gameplay itself.
