I’m hoping to enjoy Call of Duty: Warzone on my laptop, but the system indicated that it meets the minimum specifications. However, even with settings reduced to low, I’m still experiencing performance problems and lag. My laptop is a ROG GL504GM, also known as the ROG HERO 2. It runs on Windows 10 with an Intel UHD Graphics 630 processor and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, equipped with 8GB of RAM. I believe my hardware configuration isn't the root cause of the problem. I’ve already attempted to update all my device drivers. Could you please offer some assistance? Thank you very much for your support!

To optimize your computer's performance, ensure that your dedicated graphics card is set as the primary display adapter, potentially by disabling onboard graphics through your BIOS or NVIDIA Control Panel. It’s important to verify you're utilizing the latest NVIDIA game drivers. Even if your system fulfills the minimum technical specifications, performance might be limited by your memory configuration – could you please specify how many RAM sticks you have and their speed?

Please furnish us with the complete specifications (note that “UHD 630” refers to the included graphics card, not the central processing unit). The processor might be experiencing performance limitations due to overheating. Kindly share CPU temperatures while running benchmark tests.

I apologize, my Intel Core i7-8750H processor running at 2.20 GHz experienced temperatures of 68°C to 82°C while gaming, and my graphics card reached 70°C to 80°C during the same period.

To improve your gaming experience, you should disable your integrated graphics and designate your dedicated GPU as the main display adapter. This might involve adjusting settings in your BIOS or through the NVIDIA Control Panel, as it could be attempting to utilize the UHD 630 graphics processor. Ensure you’re running the latest NVIDIA game drivers. Even if your system fulfills the minimum specifications, performance could still be limited due to memory constraints. Could you tell me how many RAM sticks you have and their speed?

Your system lacks sufficient memory. The ROG Strix Hero 2 features a 1080p 144Hz IPS display. Call of Duty: Warzone requires a minimum configuration of 720p at 30 or 60 frames per second.

The amount of RAM, 8GB, is often insufficient and can lead to frame rate drops in certain games. Furthermore, many gaming laptops are configured with a single 8GB stick instead of two 4GB sticks, which negatively impacts performance.

Could lowering the voltage improve performance?
Would swapping out the dual-channel setup for two 8GB sticks of RAM resolve the issue?

1) Absolutely not. What will diminishing the voltage achieve when confronted with an inherent restriction?
2) Certainly.
