Greetings,

I’m inquiring about the cost of this upcoming desktop computer and whether it possesses sufficient power to achieve at least 144 frames per second performance.

Here are the specifications:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (3.4GHz) with 6 Cores and 12 Threads on an AM4 platform
ASRock A320M – HDV R4.0 Motherboard
GeIL 16GB Single Channel DDR4 Memory
WD Green 240GB Solid State Drive
2TB Hard Disk Drive
ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2060 AMP with 6GB of GDDR6 Memory
eVGA GD Series 450W 80PLUS Gold Power Supply
Microsoft Windows 10 Home

My intention is simply to avoid purchasing a PC that won’t adequately meet my requirements—primarily for academic work and gaming.

Sincerely,
Thank you!

Considering those specific display qualities, you'll require a significantly increased investment, targeting approximately 2,000 to 2,500 Australian dollars. Furthermore, I requested that you avoid listing general game titles; you previously substituted “etc.” with phrases like "and other open world, first and third person shooters." However, the titles you did reference won’t demand a particularly powerful graphics card. It's important to note that each game and its developer utilize unique coding methods, which subsequently impacts the system’s performance. That's why we inquire about your planned games to properly assess hardware requirements. Please see the updated parts list below:

The A320 motherboard, with single-channel RAM and a WD Green SSD, would not be my preferred configuration. It appears that several compromises were made to accommodate an RTX 2060, resulting in a suboptimal setup.

This setup presents three significant challenges. Initially, your power supply unit is inadequate; upgrading to a 600W model would significantly improve performance, manage heat effectively, and provide ample power reserves – I personally use one that performs exceptionally well with my current PC. Secondly, a single RAM module is severely limiting your system's speed due to the lack of dual-channel operation. Consider adding two 8GB sticks or four 4GB sticks, ensuring they operate at speeds exceeding 2133 MHz to fully utilize your Ryzen processor. Finally, the specifications don't include a CPU cooler—avoid bundled coolers as they are often inefficient and noisy. A budget-friendly water cooling solution would maintain a remarkably quiet operation.

Furthermore, could you please specify your computer case?

Sincerely, Thomas.
P.S. A critical issue remains: an A320 motherboard. These boards suffer from poor power delivery, leading to CPU throttling and a generally unreliable performance profile; consider an alternative such as a 2070 for smooth 144 FPS at 1080p resolution.

Could you suggest alternatives for those? What’s the additional expense involved?

Greetings, I possess a DeepCool Tesseract computer case and a CPU fan (Sweden Series SE-913-R PWM Red LED). I suspect that liquid cooling systems would provide superior performance compared to traditional fans. Thank you for your advice; I plan to upgrade my RAM configuration soon.

Is it a complete personal computer (tower, cooling system, etc.) or just individual components?

Depending on my understanding, this particular enhancement could cost between 150 and 350 Australian dollars additional.
