Hello everyone, I need assistance. I’ve been getting static electricity discharges on my computer when I use it. Previously, it was only a minor shock to the case, but recently I’ve felt static from other parts like my keyboard. Once, turning on my desktop caused the circuit breaker to trip. I'm concerned about potential damage to my system. Also, could an unused PCIe cable connected to the power supply be contributing to this issue? As I'm new to building desktops, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the trouble.

A deficiency in your home or office’s electrical system could exist if similar issues are present elsewhere. If the problem is concentrated around your computer, your outlets may be inadequately grounded. It's advised to engage an electrician for a professional evaluation. An unplugged cable from the power supply unit will not trigger this situation.

A deficiency in your residence’s or workspace’s electrical grounding could be present if similar issues are manifesting elsewhere. If the problem is concentrated around your personal computer, your outlets may lack proper grounding. It's advised to engage an electrician for a professional evaluation. An absent cable detached from the power supply unit will not induce this condition.
