I’ve been attempting to navigate the web and read these discussions, but I'm completely baffled!
I recently added a GTX 1070 to my system, only to discover that my computer frequently freezes and then shuts down unexpectedly when playing games. Occasionally, it simply locks up (allowing me to still communicate on Discord), but most often the entire system reboots. This issue appeared primarily with demanding titles like Siege and Doom at their highest settings (Dota 2, however, remained stable during a four-hour gaming session). After exchanging my existing 550 bronze EVGA power supply for a new 750 Gold EVGA unit, I noticed some improvement. While I can now run Doom without problems, Dota 2 has started crashing, and Siege continues to experience instability.

To troubleshoot this problem, I have taken the following steps:
Upgraded my power supply
Updated my motherboard BIOS using a USB drive
Performed Windows memory testing
Observed temperature levels before crashes (the graphics card reaches 60°C during stress tests, with in-game temperatures averaging around 54°C)
Ensured all drivers were current
Removed all driver files from my previous AMD card using DDU.

I’m completely stuck and would appreciate any assistance you could offer!
System specifications:
Intel i5-3570K processor
Gskill Ripjaw DDR3 4x4Gb memory
Asrock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard
GTX 1070 graphics card
EVGA 750w Gold power supply

Remove the division, complete reinstallation…

Undoubtedly, this will guarantee that no trace of previous drivers remains.

I still believe there’s an electrical issue, however, it shouldn't be happening now that you have the updated power supply—it’s certainly sufficient for your current setup.

Right? Its almost seemingly random at this point. Once Dota 2 crashed I figured the power draw issue might be out the window. Also from a quick google it seems my old card (gigabyte 7870) draws more power than the GTX 1070 anyways!

Erase the partition, perform a complete reinstallation…
Undoubtedly, this will guarantee that no traces of previous drivers remain afterward.
