It rarely leaves that 35-37 range. Are you certain it isn’t running in a mode that shows CPU temperatures or other diagnostic outputs instead of debug messages?

I used the Z370 Godlike for a year without any issues. However, I found it somewhat bothersome at times.

Can't provide further advice without checking the manual for the board. The variation within a tight sequence of numbers (mid 30s and now low 40s) seems like a clear indication it's detecting a system "vital statistic." Once the OS starts, the debug screen is mainly for diagnosing issues during boot. I've noticed some boards consistently showing "AA" or similar even when Windows was running. It looks like someone at MSI might have thought it would be useful to change what the display shows while the system is active. Try stressing the system with a benchmark or a demanding game and see if the number changes. You can also use HWinfo64 or a similar tool to verify the value.

I'm seeing the same board with temperatures around 55-60, and after installing Ryzen Master it aligns with the reported readings. It's probably due to the GPU and pump blocking the sensor.
