I own a Dell Latitude E5430. It ran very well on Windows 10 AE. Startup took about 15 seconds with the Samsung 830 Pro SSD. Applications launched fast and the system felt smooth. I received a notification to update to Windows 10 CU, which I did. Following the update, I encountered some problems: volume changes didn’t produce a sound, temperatures rose more than usual even when idle, loading times spiked especially for games (even with game mode off), the Task Manager took 10-15 seconds to launch, and after shutdowns I heard a system error but no logs showed it. My specs are Intel Core i5 3320M @ 2.6GHz, 8GB DDR3, 1600Mhz, 256GB SSD from Samsung MZ7PC256HAFU-000H1 (OEM), Intel HD 4000. I also have a CPU Z summary attached if that would help. SENPAI-PC.txt

Other than 'sfc /scannow' in command prompt which may or may not work, nothing that I have found. Reinstalling windows 10 is easy though, you don't need to install any drivers except GPU, windows does it all for you.
Another option is to use this method if sfc isn't successful. Press the Windows key + X to access the Power User settings and choose Command Prompt (Admin). Enter the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
I possessed a prior system image, but it got replaced during my latest schedule backup. Worse still, I opted to retain just the newest backup. I’ll try @ george357’s approach. I’d already run an sfc and it showed no issues, so I think I’ll give it another go now.
