I recently upgraded my 1600x to a 3600x and changed my BIOS to F40, which is the first version that works with the Ryzen 3000 series. To free up space for the new CPU, I had to remove my GPU, possibly damaging a resistor shown in the attached photos. It seems the resistor is likely missing. After installing the new CPU, I encountered issues and tried clearing the CMOS and booting from a backup BIOS chip. The board lacks a manual switch, requiring simultaneous power and reset buttons. Since the resistor appears to be the cause, I’m wondering if you can advise whether bypassing it with a wire is possible or if a new motherboard would be necessary.

It seems you’re likely planning to return the item and cover repair costs, or opt for a replacement motherboard.

The system isn't posting, but the red LCD indicating a CPU error is illuminated.

I'm already searching for a new motherboard, probably a B450, unless the B550 disappears soon.

I have some older boards available, and if I can identify the resistor in that area, I might be able to find one and solder it.

Have you considered sharing your 1600x image too?

I've returned to the 1600x resolution and completed all troubleshooting steps within the system, confident it functioned correctly.
