Resistor absent from the motherboard.
I recently upgraded my 1600x to a 3600x and changed my BIOS to F40, which is the first version that works with the Ryzen 3000 series. To free up space for the new CPU, I had to remove my GPU, possibly damaging a resistor shown in the attached photos. It seems the resistor is likely missing. After installing the new CPU, I encountered issues and tried clearing the CMOS and booting from a backup BIOS chip. The board lacks a manual switch, requiring simultaneous power and reset buttons. Since the resistor appears to be the cause, I’m wondering if you can advise whether bypassing it with a wire is possible or if a new motherboard would be necessary.
It seems you’re likely planning to return the item and cover repair costs, or opt for a replacement motherboard.
It highlights inconsistencies or red flags that suggest something may not be right.
