I'm working with RE4 HD on a PC and attempting to use a Gamecube controller. I have both an official Wii U Gamecube adapter and controller, which register as a vJoy input device. vJoy devices can't have multiple inputs linked to one controller input, so using the left stick for movement and aiming with the left stick, plus A for both attack and action, works fine. However, installing x360ce caused issues because it interpreted the input as coming from a 360 controller and a vJoy device, leading to confusion and freezing. Anyone have suggestions on how to use a Gamecube controller with RE4 HD?
