I've had trouble resetting the BIOS on my Dell Precision M4800. The CMOS battery wasn't removed and power was fully discharged, but that didn't help. I also checked a few websites offering Dell master passwords, but they weren't working. No one seems to have a solution for this model. It would be better to avoid contacting Dell Support since it's a hassle and the laptop is tied up with a project partner. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It’s unusual, but I’m covering every possibility. The CMOS was removed by taking out the battery, disconnecting the power, restarting it, then reconnecting and keeping it on for about half a minute.

I also took out the CMOS battery, cleared the laptop battery, cut off the power, pressed the power button for half a minute, repeated it a few times to confirm.

I recall in MCT someone needed to attempt a "Short" on a Cmos, though I don't know if it matched your scenario.

I resolved the problem using the YouTube tutorial: The password generator was creating the right password, but I was pressing the incorrect control key (RCtrl+Enter) during submission.

It functioned after testing it for a thousand days, thanks! Just note it needs CTR enter.
