You just rebooted the system and restored it to its original settings, but everything seems lost. The screen asks for a username and password again, yet your mouse and keyboard still function properly. This suggests the data might have been wiped during the reset. It’s likely the files were cleared, so your personal information is gone. If you’re selling the device, be cautious—people might try to access it later. Consider backing up important files beforehand.

It varies based on the selected option. Opting for "Refresh your PC without affecting your files" preserves your data. Choosing "Remove everything and reinstall Windows" will erase all files, configurations, etc. Selecting the latter means it should occur during the setup phase where you register, adjust settings, and similar steps.
