Hi, I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with their orders being delayed repeatedly. I placed an order for January 22, but it was marked as 2 quarters late. After that, I moved to 3, and I didn’t pay much attention. While checking shipments and production updates, I thought moving to 3 would be fine, but a few weeks ago my order got pushed back again—this time to the 4th quarter. Steam support didn’t explain why this happened. By the way, I’m from Germany, and I apologize if my English isn’t clear. Do you know if anyone else is facing the same problem?

The supply chain remains problematic. It's unclear how much comes from China, which is facing significant internal challenges—its economy is faltering and the zero-COVID measures are complicating things for manufacturers. Many regions are also experiencing heatwaves and droughts, leading some factories to shut down or reduce output because water is crucial for chip production.

It's not as if I'm unaware of these matters. I'm just puzzled by their promises of creating and providing more quickly. Their statements and the situation unfolding for me seem to be at odds.

They likely believed conditions could improve thanks to stabilizing demand for PC components. However, problems in the supply chain remain unanticipated. Additionally, sales might exceed expectations based on prior assumptions.

It seems I might be overly critical and express frustration excessively. I was trying to find some trustworthiness in their statements.

I’ve heard from someone who bought two Steam Decks right after the availability went live for both of his sons. One got one about six weeks back, the other just snagged one in the queue and got it done. If you wait too long, you’ll have to wait a long time.

Sorry about the delay. It seems there was a mix-up in the timeline. I booked it quite early—around four or five days—and they initially promised by the end of July, then updated it to October through December. Just a few days ago, it came back to "soon," and now I’ve placed my order. It’s been a frustrating wait of more than six months... I’m not holding my breath.
