I’m planning to upgrade step by step. I’ll invest around $700 in the CPU, motherboard, and RAM. I’ll keep using my 11-inch knockoff monitor with Bequiet fans and reuse the RMA850X power supply.

Choose the 16GB RAM, boost the clock speed to 3600MHz, pick the Ryzen 5 5600X for $300, and install the MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk at $200. This saves you money now and lets you upgrade later with a graphics card.

Ok. So i just looked prices. A 5600x is $80 more than a 10600k, and currently theres an Asus ROG Strix Z490F mosterboard with $50 discount. this seems like the better deal as of now (these Are prices converted from Danish hardware retailers)

I still suggest the x570 and the 5600X. They deliver stronger performance. The x570 offers a longer lifespan (better upgrade route compared to being phased out by 12th gen Intel). It supports PCIe Gen 4, enabling compatibility with ultra-fast storage solutions. If NVidia introduces further major generational changes, PCIe 4.0 could become even more valuable.

I think about it. It’s likely I’ll upgrade next month and probably get a Ryzen.
