The issue arises because your browser isn’t handling video decoding properly. Try using dedicated apps on your phone or the Microsoft Store. The Plex apps function correctly. Note: It might be a similar problem with a jellyfin. Uncertain if a Windows version exists. Send me more details.

jellyfin includes a desktop version. If you're the sole user and can run the program, it requires minimal resources. Uncertain if it works with a browser—files must be converted if playback isn't direct. When hardware acceleration is off, the CPU handles processing. Avoid using a browser when feasible. I tried jellyfin on a Ryzen 3 2200G without hardware acceleration; it functioned for one user only, no further testing.

Thanks for the feedback. The client apps perform significantly better now compared to browser playback on my LG TV and Jellyfin apps on Windows and Android. I configured the 7600 as the Jellyfin server using igpu and reduced the voltage to 40W, which is only slightly slower than a 5600x. Testing at around 30W shows a cb23 score of 6500, while 38W seems acceptable. The total wall power draw is about 68W during load and 50W when idle. I’m looking for ways to reduce this further. Is this mainly affected by Windows settings, or could there be other adjustments?

You need to configure your BIOS and Windows settings for Wake on LAN (WOL). Various guides exist, but once WOL is enabled in Windows, you’ll find a setting for your network interface after it’s activated. You’ll see an option asking if you want the PC to respond solely to the magic packet, which you should select by unchecking that box. Your system should automatically power on whenever another device attempts to connect to files on it. Note that Windows 10 and 11 need the PC to remain in sleep mode for WOL to function properly; it won’t work if the machine is shut down.
