I own an HP Pavilion Elite HPE-195a from mid-2010 equipped with an ATI Radeon HD 5770 GPU. I'm trying to transfer the GPU to my upgraded Compaq Presario SR5520AN, but it keeps failing no matter what. The same problem occurs with my HP Pav Elite m9580a. Oddly enough, it works fine on my HP Pav p6-2415a—the only one of its kind with UEFI—and not on the GT620. However, all other PCs manage to post with it. What could be causing this? - CMOS cleared - Any BIOS settings for PCIe have been adjusted - The power supplies in the Compaq and m9580a function correctly with the 5770 in the 195a - The 195a fails to connect with the 5770 on the m9580a or Compaq, but connects with the p6-2415a If it really matters, the 5770 runs on a standard BIOS. Here are the relevant details:
