Why? You didn't want to upgrade yourself so it would be more affordable?

Because it's a business, please reach out to Dell directly for assistance. You might also consider purchasing a more affordable laptop with a 500GB drive and 16GB RAM, then upgrade as needed. Continuing to communicate with a Dell representative will help you determine the right specifications.

I regularly order desktops and laptops from Dell and maintain a strong relationship with my Dell rep. When I provide them with my desired specifications—such as an i7 processor, 64GB of RAM, and 1TB storage—they will recommend a suitable model that meets those requirements while using the least amount of RAM and storage necessary.

When I request an i7 with 64GB and 1TB, they typically suggest an i7 with 16GB and 500GB instead. However, they will still provide a machine that fulfills my needs. I often replace components myself, as I usually open the laptop to swap parts before even turning it on.

The last laptop I bought had only 8GB of RAM, so I purchased an additional stick from Dell at the same time. They advised me to install it myself rather than having them install it, as the extra RAM would have increased the cost significantly.

That's correct. The specifications indicate compatibility with up to 64 GB, but the supplier who delivers to us reported otherwise, stating the maximum is 32 GB. He managed to locate a Dell model.
