To run recent titles such as Far Cry 5, your computer needs specific upgrades. The processor should be an Intel i5-2400 or faster at around 3.10 GHz. You require at least 4 GB of RAM. A 64-bit OS with an x64 processor is necessary, along with a DDR3 motherboard and a 1TB hard drive. These adjustments will enable smoother gameplay.

Ensure a dedicated graphics card is in place. The requirements also vary based on how "playable" performance is measured for you.

Are you referring to your setup in full? Playing games post-2012 hinges on specific titles and goals. Games from after 2012 are broad, and even newer releases like Far Cry 5 benefit from a powerful dedicated GPU. Make sure your PSU can handle the power requirements before investing in the GPU.

Do you already have this setup? If not, I recommend sharing a budget for the system you're interested in. The team can compile some build suggestions for you. Playing games post-2012 isn't very clear, and using only the lowest hardware is usually risky, especially with older systems like this.

It won't work at all. You're lacking enough memory, the GPU is extremely weak, and your CPU is quite basic even for these games. Four should run fine with more RAM and a better GPU, but five will perform poorly. Are you already using this setup? If yes, consider upgrading—it's a 14-year-old machine and keeping it costs more than it's worth.

This machine is quite old, even my office work PC with an i5-4460, 8GB DDR3 and a refurbished 500GB SSD is faster. For a modern gaming setup on a budget, consider a Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM, and a used mid-range GPU such as the RX6600 or RTX 3060. (Newer models could be too costly.) You might want to adapt the build in my style, but swap the 4060ti for a more affordable option unless you have funds available.
