I faced a comparable problem before, the only solution was to reinstall Windows, which was unpleasant. The issue was more severe, with Ethernet and built-in audio completely failing.

Navigate to the Network & Sharing Center. On the left, select change adapter settings, then move to adapter properties. Adjust your TCP/IPv4 configurations manually. Check the IP/Gateway/DNS settings to test the auto-detection feature. Use your own example values.

I've only faced issues similar to this with this adapter. I leave my feedback anonymously there. After turning it on, Windows fails to recognize it, requiring me to unplug and plug it back in. This happens with all four adapters, regardless of the computer I use. The problem only arises when someone else resets the system, and then it seems like the internet is down.

I've tested it, but it didn't work. I'm using Ethernet with the hub roughly 30cm away from my PC. Restoring the OS isn't an option right now. I'm short on time and can't do a full setup or backup.

Have you considered reverting or updating your network drivers? Concerning the network issues, are you experiencing a restricted connection, indicated by the yellow caution triangle in your network tray status icon? Or are you completely unable to connect to any networks without a local link? If it's the restricted connection, I recommend manually adjusting your DNS settings again, but prefer using the Google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 as primary and 8.8.4.4 as backup) since they resolved this problem before. If possible, set a static IP on both your PC and router as a precaution.

I'll attempt this now. Yes, it displays as a restricted link and includes the yellow warning symbol. I'll check Google DNS next.
