I own a gaming setup with several components, including a B550A motherboard, a Ryzen 9 5900X processor, an RTX 3060 graphics card, a Noctua dual CPU cooler, a 1000W PSU, and a solid performance without issues. I haven’t experienced any stutters, crashes, freezes, or unexpected restarts except during specific titles like Ghost Recon Wildlands, Modern Warfare 2019, Cyberpunk 2077 with mods, Death Stranding, and Fall Guys. The system runs smoothly, fans operate normally, and no unusual noises occur during restarts. Recently, I noticed the PC would restart entirely during loading for those games. After replacing the cooler, the issue persisted, prompting a PSU upgrade to 1000W. Now I’m still facing the same problem, and I’m seeking advice or suggestions to resolve it. Thanks in advance. — R3tr0j (Updated July 10, 2022)
I reinstalled both games and verified temperatures to ensure it wasn’t overheating. Also, I overlooked noting that when loading those two particular titles, the RAM usage appears in the bottom right corner of the screen. Before this happened, I had fewer components—specifically a Ryzen 3 processor, an RT 570 motherboard, and PSU models ranging from 550W to 570W. I hadn’t experienced such RAM consumption before, but now it spikes dramatically, using nearly all 5GB out of my 16GB total when the game starts.
