I just installed my new system and faced an issue: the GPU isn’t being recognized by the motherboard. The board’s warning lights display “GPU not detected” and “Boot drive not detected.” I’m using an MSI X570-A Pro with an MSI RX6700 XT card. All connections are secure—other components light up, fans spin, etc.—and I’ve tested two other AOK cards, which also gave the same result. My build includes a Ryzen 7 5800X (no graphics) paired with four 8GB Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks, a 750W MSI PSU, and a 1TB NVMe drive for booting. I submitted a ticket to MSI but thought it wouldn’t help; any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Have you explored the alternative PCIe ports? It's possible the port is faulty or the card isn't compatible.
Attempt to start with just one RAM module, Corsair Vengeance has reported issues with Ryzen processors (I’m aware of that).
Hello, thank you for your feedback. I did receive a response from MSI. I understand the challenge of diagnosing issues remotely, but at least adding a personal touch would be helpful. The initial message reminded me to verify the 8 and 4 pin power connectors are correctly positioned with the appropriate voltages. It then provided a detailed, somewhat harsh instruction to dismantle the device completely and begin anew—such as removing the battery for 60 seconds. It ended with a note that if this doesn’t resolve the issue, there’s a link to initiate the RMA process. Well, that seems to be their best option at the moment. I’ll give it another shot, and once it works or not, I’ll follow the provided link to handle the return. As Ralphie Parker put it when everything fell apart: "Oh Fudge!"
