Require assistance moving data from an SSD using Optane to a standard SSD.
Hello, I recently experienced a laptop failure. Attempting to move data from my previous machine to the new one caused a problem with an Intel Rapid storage UEFI driver error. After checking online, it seems the issue stems from the blue drive containing an Optane module. Since the old system is unresponsive, I can’t disable the Optane. I’m able to read and write directly from an external dock, but cloning drives using Linux’s dd command didn’t resolve the matter. Any suggestions?
The optane module might need a specific driver. If required, you may need to install it. Some BIOS systems allow loading the driver before startup to enable features like hardware RAID and similar capabilities. Consider installing the optane driver this way. Alternatively, you can test the drive inside an external enclosure designed for NVMe SSDs. Good luck!
