Hey! I moved to a new city recently and am really frustrated with my local internet service. They use a GPON Router—essentially a fiber optic modem that also handles the internet connection. I’ve always liked these setups because they restrict network flexibility. The specific model I’m dealing with is the ZTE F670L, now sold by Multilaser in Brazil. The only reliable info I found online is this datasheet link: http://ztegpon.cz/pdf/ZXHN F670L datasheet.pdf.

The main problem is that only devices on the same Wi-Fi network can talk to each other. Devices connected to the local LAN can’t ping one another, and wireless devices can’t reach wired ones. Everyone can still ping the router, so internet access remains available. I’ve checked the router settings, and WLAN isolation is turned off for all 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and even 6GHz bands. Still, wired connections should work fine. Any suggestions on why this is happening? Thanks!

You’ll likely need to capture images of every setting page in the box and share them here. The issue seems similar to multiple LAN interfaces using separate VLANs, but without knowing the device, I can’t guide you to its settings.

You're wondering if "Lan1" refers to a VLAN. It seems likely, especially since your router isn't using subinterfaces. They might be in separate subnets or VLANs. More details would help clarify.

I can share all the screenshots from the router’s settings once I’m back home. Right now I’m trying to figure out how to apply VLANs for each interface using the security settings. I’ve tried setting VLAN 1 across all interfaces but haven’t seen any changes. I understand the concept, though I haven’t applied it before.

When you chose that option, the problem appears as described. A VLAN divides a network into separate virtual networks that can't communicate unless routed through a device with subinterfaces.

I hadn't described clearly. You mentioned a problem before adjusting these configurations. At first, there was no VLAN assignment, and they didn't communicate. To attempt a solution, I assigned VLAN 1 to all interfaces, but it didn't work.

The adjustment wasn't recognized by the router. Try turning it off, then back on to verify the change. It seems the update didn't apply.

I found many choices for a home router. Here’s the link to the images: https://imgur.com/a/C7LejRa. I’ve omitted some extra details like USB and 3G services unless you ask. I’ve also attached the PDF I saved from the help section, which might be helpful. F670L.pdf
