My brothers' laptop might need a graphics driver update. I’m familiar with handling it. Should we use GeForce Experience updater or download the driver directly from Nvidia’s site? I’m worried something could go wrong, especially since it’s a Dell model and I assumed only official updates from the manufacturer are safe. Could you confirm if updates are available from the company that produced your specific parts? I want to feel confident this will work without issues. Thanks!

Ensure GeForce is installed by updating the drivers. If missing, visit the NVIDIA website, pick your graphics card, and install the newest non-beta version.

Updating your GPU driver from Dell is not strictly necessary for NVIDIA performance, but it can help ensure compatibility and stability. It’s not a strict requirement, though it may improve overall system functionality.

Updates aren't available through Dell; only NVIDIA provides the proper drivers for their GPUs.

I'm checking if making the laptop driver updates safe. I haven't tried it before and I'm really worried.

You seem hesitant, but why change what's working? Just keep it the way it is... If it's fine, leave it alone!

Updating the drivers might improve performance, but since it's a laptop, there could be other factors affecting frame rates.

Updating drivers for a laptop works similarly to a desktop; just pick the appropriate mobile GPU when installing them. This usually brings better performance. Numerous games provide frame rate increases after nvidia driver updates, depending on the title. Updating should be smooth on your laptop, though it's wise to save backups or restore points beforehand.
