I'm really struggling with the memory choices for that AMD Threadripper 3970x and ASUS Zenith II Extreme board. I tried the GSKill RAM configurator and wanted 128GB (8x16GB), but most options didn<|pad|> to show only 64GB. It seems the 128GB kits aren't available anywhere, so I ended up looking for 64GB instead. That way I could buy two to reach the total, but in the configurator the 128GB models don't appear in the 64GB section. I checked PCPartPicker and found more options, including Trident Z NEO which is meant for AMD. However, the GSKill site doesn't list Neo for Threadrippers. I'm completely confused about which memory to choose. Of course, I don't need the expensive Royals! Here are the memory options from PCPartPicker:
https://pcpartpicker.com/products/memory...Z=65536004
And from GSKill configurator:
https://www.gskill.com/configurator?page...city§128GB (16GBx8),Capacity§64GB (16GBx4)

Right now you can generally purchase almost anything depending on how much space you have. If you need the Neo kits, go ahead. For other items, it will still be possible.

Would you prefer to obtain NEO since it's tailored for AMD, or is it limited to standard Ryzens?

Threadripper is a Ryzen model, so feel free to choose whatever you like.

From the document, I don't see enough information to confirm the claim. The text mentions a specific ROG ZENITH II model but doesn't address adding 128GB of RAM across all slots.
