Hey there! I built a new computer recently and wanted to move some important files from another drive inside. But when I tried to access them, it kept asking for admin privileges and said I didn’t have the right permissions. Any advice would be great! Also, I’m planning to remove those permission locks so I can reach all the folders easily. Thanks!

Have you seen the instructions for Windows? Look at the security section.

It allows access to one folder at a time, and you want to duplicate all of them to another hard drive. You’re seeking a method for a bulk unlock so the process isn’t too slow.

You are trying to modify permissions for the folder located at I:\Users\Users\... with the command icacls. The system is responding with a message indicating what it is suggesting.

Sure, I managed that—it handled around 1000 files, though they all remained locked.

Ensure the folder matches your username. Check its accessibility afterward.

I tried that command but the problem persists. Would it help changing the grant users to your own username instead?

Oh, yeah, you should be using the username instead of "Users"
