It seems this email is unusual. I’d prefer to speak with them directly rather than rely on email. Still, if I had to guess why an ISP needs your IP address, it’s likely to ensure your connection is correct. They might appear everything is fine from their side, but a customer using another network could cause issues later. Or when switching providers, they want to confirm the new setup is active. Asking for an IP helps verify you’ve switched devices and are using the right service. Call them instead of sending more messages.
