You can connect a coaxial cable to the D-Link AC3200 using an adapter or converter device. This will allow you to use Ethernet connections while still utilizing your existing coaxial setup.

Who supplies your internet connection? Apart from the networks used by cable companies and Verizon’s router, typical routers don’t rely on coaxial lines for wide area networking.

It seems you're setting up your network equipment. You'll need to decide whether to purchase a gateway or a modem with your router. I'm not sure about Cox's policies on equipment they provide; they might have a list of compatible modems. Your ISP, Comcast, offers a detailed directory. Aim for at least a 16x4 or 24x8 Docsis 3.0 modem.
