This shouldn't affect performance much. It mainly influences starting up the operating system. It might be relevant for Secure Boot and TPM features, potentially causing issues if your OS is Windows 11, but it shouldn't lead to lag.

I switched to CSMOS to UEFI and tried saving, pressed yes. My BIOS froze and I had to power it down using the button. Then I returned to my BIOS, which unexpectedly changed back to UEFI. My motherboard is a B550 Tomahawk—probably CSMOS, given the TPM 2.0 support.
