I didn’t intend to upgrade to Windows 10 yet, and this version isn’t even a year old. I’m looking to remove the annoying Windows upgrade button. Should I turn off a startup option in tools like CCleaner or msconfig?
Remove the Windows Update KB3035583 package. Turn off a specific registry adjustment. Refer to the provided guide for instructions. http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/disab...tification
I believe the procedure is GWX.exe, ending it could help resolve the issue.
I received a comparable issue from a friend. Removing the KB3035583 update didn’t resolve it, so I opened Task Manager and terminated GWX.exe. Even after that, the file remained visible, so I moved the "GWX" directory in C:\Windows\Sytem32 to "noGWX" (or deleted it if certain) and restarted the computer. The icon is still missing.
