I returned from vacation and decided to clean my laptop. I didn’t verify its functionality before departure, but it worked then. I removed dust, replaced the thermal paste, extracted the RAM and reinstalled it, then powered it up. Everything functioned normally—LED lit up, HDD spun, CPU and GPU generated heat, and everything seemed fine. I connected a monitor, but it didn’t recognize anything. I also tried clearing CMOS by removing the small silver battery compartment and reinserting it. Still, nothing worked. I’m in need of assistance. Cheers

Determining the issue often starts with confirming the RAM installation. It’s possible the problem lies elsewhere, such as a misplaced thermal paste during replacement. Make sure the RAM is seated correctly before reapplying paste and carefully follow the reassembly steps.

You’re likely correct about the RAM installation since the clips engaged properly. After swapping the thermal paste and replacing the copper pipe, you should verify the connections. Make sure all cables are securely reinserted and functioning.

Isn't it more likely he didn't secure the RAM correctly? You should notice a clear clicking sound. While showing my mom how to build a PC or laptop (she’s really into it, hee), she hesitated to fully tighten everything.

The wires may not be placed correctly. Alternatively, a connector might have been unintentionally harmed while taking the device apart.

I think I gave it my all, but I’m holding back since I worry it might break. (I’ll push a bit more next time)
