I set up Windows 10 technical preview on a different disk and experimented with it. Initially, I didn’t intend to use it, just to explore it. After spending some time, I grew bored and returned to Windows 7. I formatted the drive and unplugged it, thinking it would be fine without it. However, every boot now shows a menu letting me pick the operating system. Since Windows 10 isn’t installed anymore, this screen appears on startup. It’s becoming quite bothersome over time. Do you know how to resolve this issue? I suspect it might relate to the boot sector, but I’m not sure what I’m dealing with.

You can access the control panel of your main operating system and restrict the ability to switch to other OSes directly from there. Let me know if I can walk you through the steps once you're back home, I'm here to help!

Open System Configuration (MSCONFIG) and go to the 'boot' section. You’ll notice two operating systems listed (such as Windows 7 and Windows 10). Choose Windows 10 and press the Delete button. Done!

I wasn't aware this was possible via the OS, but thank you! After checking some sources, it seems to function now. Great job everyone!
