Hello, I recently bought a new GPU (GIGABYTE WindForce GeForce® RTX™ 3060 OC, 12GB GDDR6, 192-bit) along with five Noctua fans to keep things cool. After switching it on, I noticed frame rates dropping to around 20 FPS and after about ten seconds the system would suddenly shut down without any error messages—just like unplugging it. In Task Manager, CPU usage appears near zero or even completely off. My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 2600, and my power supply is a nJoy Titan 600 with 600W real power, PFC active, and 80 Plus Bronze. I’m really concerned because despite checking online, I couldn’t find a clear solution. Temperatures seem fine—both the CPU and GPU are around 70°C during intense gaming. Could you suggest what I should do? Should I replace something or is there another fix I should try?

Check the event viewer for any thrown exceptions. Try reinserting the card and updating drivers to the newest version. Identify your old GPU model and remove it with DDU.

I used to have an XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX with 8GB and 256-bit RAM. I didn’t consider the DDU program until after I removed the AMD driver folders and the app. Just before this response, I properly uninstalled the drivers using DDU as you suggested. If I face the same problem again soon, I’ll post another update in this thread. Thanks for your helpful advice!

The issue remains unresolved. The CPU activity isn't near zero, but the GHz value drops to around 0.50 while the system stays active at about 15%. Crashing often happens during tougher games like Dead by Daylight or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I checked the event viewer and saw this error right after the crash (see image below). Could this be the cause?

I discovered a new issue during CPU stutter: temperature rises sharply to around 107°C. Could this be linked to the thermal paste or should I consider replacing the CPU?

I fixed the issue. A RAM wasn’t completely seated in its slot. I also replaced my CPU and added a cooler.
