I purchased a ready-made computer a few years back without any prior experience with computers. It came bundled with antivirus software that I can't remove. I accessed the Windows settings and attempted to uninstall them, but nothing changed when I clicked "uninstall help."

Please tell me which antivirus software you are using. Most of them offer removal options on their sites.

Thanks for the guidance! Now I’m stuck with Avast. It feels trickier to remove than Norton, and their site isn’t very clear.

Save the Avast Removal Tool from https://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe. Detailed steps can be found at https://support.avast.com/en-us/article/...us-Utility.

You did it successfully! I hadn't considered checking their website before. Also, to get rid of Norton, you needed to run the installer for "remove and reinstall Norton," then adjust the advanced settings to delete it.
