I'm gaming and the monitor went dark while the PC fans were spinning nonstop. This occurred after I exited a game to check something online. My temp was at 90, GPU usage was between 80-85, and I have an RX 580.

Driver crash might not always stem from your graphics card; it could indicate another component struggling with heat. If your GPU reaches 85°C, it likely points to an overheating VRAM or VRM issue.

The rx580 includes sensors for both the Vcore and VRAM. You can monitor these in AMD Adrenalin to detect overheating. If you haven’t cleaned the interior of your PC recently, consider removing dust from the GPU cooler as well. Good luck!
