I possess a 7.1 AVR with an Onkyo remote. I just discovered the remote for this device, which is the RC-651M. I removed any potential battery issues and checked the functionality, but it still doesn’t respond properly. Both devices are tuned to the same channel, and I tried resetting the remote via factory settings, though I didn’t receive confirmation. The only reliable method is simply turning it on and off. It’s also important to note that pressing 1/50 of any button occasionally works, but that isn’t a complete fix.

I switched the batteries. Only the cleaning was done.

The batteries are brand new and will last until March 2031. The previous ones were old and expired in 2011, so they’re now discarded.
