The image shows the screen connector for an Acer laptop. On the left side of the connector and top right of the Magic R22, you notice a burnt appearance. The laptop boots normally when connected to an external monitor. It functions perfectly at 100%. While trying to connect the screen, a small spark appeared briefly on the motherboard corner for about 1-2 seconds. The issue seems to involve both the screen and possibly the motherboard. I suspect the motherboard might be affected, but it’s possible the display was damaged as well. A new screen costs $120, which is a lot to replace just the motherboard. I’m concerned about what I did and need confirmation from someone experienced.

Visible damage is present on the motherboard. Several parts should be replaced. The cable's casing appears to be connected, which suggests the screen is probably fine, but it's uncertain until the motherboard problems are resolved.
