You're facing significant performance challenges despite having a powerful setup. It seems the issue might be more related to CPU utilization or other system factors rather than GPU limitations. Consider checking your game's settings, ensuring it's not overloaded with high-resolution textures or complex shaders. Also, running a stress test on your CPU could help identify if it's the bottleneck. Don't forget to update drivers and consider optimizing background processes.

It displays CPU usage on the system's task manager interface.

I think it's likely just one person. The original version didn't rely heavily on CPU power—about 30% usage—but it doesn't actually use true multithreading.

The video captures my current thoughts on the game's performance issues. I'm likely to wait a few weeks, hoping developers will improve it or a mod fixes it without removing visuals. Some mods have been tried, but they didn't really help. I'd like to see the game run smoothly at 60 FPS, ideally with less than 50 FPS in many areas or even lower during rain. The stuttering in the open world is really annoying, and frame generation feels poor—it makes mouse control sluggish and unnatural. Compared to other games with frame generation, this one is much worse. Every other AAA title I've played has removed mouse movement to avoid these problems, which makes it less noticeable. The controller also feels bad because precise actions are needed for things like picking up items. Despite its impressive graphics and ray tracing, this game falls short in optimization. FFS, why can't we see a single AAA release that just works? Even before any announcement, they seem to rush the launch.

Post that video but make sure the game is optimized for better performance.

Yeah, my performance is solid, but frame consistency and movement feel a bit shaky. I’m using a 5800X3D and a 4070, running at 1440 with DLSS Quality enabled and Frame Generation turned on. Everything is set to High, including brightness, and I’m consistently hitting 120 FPS indoors and in easier-to-render areas. Outside that, it drops to 100-105 FPS. The travel stutters are unavoidable, though. DF mentioned in a video that it’s typical with any hardware. I don’t think the stutters are ideal, but the game still works well enough and doesn’t ruin my experience. It would be great if they could fix that issue.

Frame generation could work in theory, but the mouse behavior feels unnatural and it doesn’t feel right with a controller. I’ve enjoyed other games with this setup before. This is the first one where the mouse causes issues, especially on a high-end PC. The performance drops quickly—CPU strain appears early, and the frame rate falls below 60 without frame generation. Plus, there’s noticeable stuttering. It’s frustrating to see developers overlook these problems.

I've heard about this mouse and framegen setup before. I usually play Bethesda games with a controller, just like that. It seems okay to me. But honestly, it's a pain if it doesn't work well with the mouse. I'll have to look it up for myself out of curiosity.

It seems Bethesda might have outsourced the work to an Indian city, using it as a placeholder to mimic textures and models in UE5 quickly. They likely didn’t hire actual engineers to fully leverage the technology, which would have sped up development. Then they charged full price while selling a cosmetic DLC for an additional 10 dollars. They also manipulated the creators of Skyblivion, which could be a very clever strategy. This might just be one of the most shrewd moves ever. But it’s probably not the first time.
