I noticed this on my feeds and wondered why the PC edition needed a remake. It seems like 4K textures were a possibility, but even on the PS3 it looked decent enough, so why go further? What are your opinions, and what do you expect for the launch?

Absolutely, I’m excited about getting this for free after purchasing the AC Unity show.

You likely bought Unity at its initial release. It's now a solid, well-functioning game with smooth performance across different configurations. The early version had some issues, but it's become much more reliable over time. Regarding AC3, yes—it was essentially a direct port to the console, not a separate platform.

Adjusting the controls would improve performance. From what I know, ACU typically uses high-resolution textures and scales nicely with higher resolutions. You can reach up to 1080p in Ultra using TXAA, HBAO+, etc., and when you boost the resolution to 1600p or 4k, it appears sharper even at lower settings over 1080p. The game doesn't scale proportionally across different resolutions.

I'd play this easily if they fix some of the issues it had. (gameplay wise). But @OP We need a PC remaster also, since I doubt this remaster will simply be 1080p version of the original.... That would be very stupid indeed. I would like a "Ezio Collection" Of sorts like the Halo series did. Remaster of the Ezio games would be awesome. EDIT: @ Those talking about Unity. It's playable now, still looks like shit but it's playable at least. Fairly average AC game tbh, I enjoyed Black Flag much more. But let's talk about the main topic. AC Remaster and to what extent the changes might be!

Many believe Ubisoft is a single company, but in reality it includes several distinct development studios. For instance, the team behind Black Flag didn't create Assassin's Creed Unity. Likely the same applies to Unity and Victory developers.

I noticed it early when vanilla AC was released: Unity, right? Just avoid those titles.
