specs msi b450 pro carbon a/c 5900x 16 gb ram 3600 gtx 1080 lg 850b So i picked up a 5900x with bent pins for 130$ (sweet deal easy fix) got the pins straightened, cpu in the socket, updated bios to 7B85v1F( i assume its a beta bios, so it will be "GSE Lite" which is fine im use to it from using a 3700x on this motherboard.) ok so im waiting and waiting for the post screen. out of nowhere im in the os (win 11). at first im like cool the cpu works let get into the bios and adjust whatevers... but i cant. i cant tell if it hang or just doesnt display. but it just a black screen. i also tried using window recovery tools to get there. but again the recovery options dont display. its like trying to boot/view anything the os wont display.

Resolved. Just need to switch to HDMI instead of DP for this particular issue. Let me know if you're aware of how to view it using DP—it would be helpful.
