The software is still in development. This means some features aren't fully working yet. If you're unsure, go back to your older Windows 10 version until the final release. No need to worry—it shows up as it did in Windows 8.

I am concerned that many of your preferred options come directly from Windows 8, and while I experimented with Windows 10, I haven’t fully gotten the most out of it.

I believed it was available in Windows Vista. It turns out it wasn't even present on Windows 7.

I'm testing on a T410s using a 64GB SSD SATA II. Windows 10 launches in 17-20 seconds. The drivers significantly boosted read and write speeds on this Samsung drive. It's an 1.8" form factor unit. Windows 10 includes flash, which is a great advantage. This ThinkPad offers 8GB RAM and an i5 chipset. The DX12 capability in Windows 10 is likely key for gamers. Based on what I've heard, Windows 10 performs better with games than Win 7 or Windows 8. They might add more visual appeal to Windows 10. I appreciate the fonts and layout design. A Computer tab similar to Win 7 would be useful for viewing all drives and CD/DVD burner in the start menu. Spartan seems effective. They should probably bundle Word, Excel, PowerPoint with Win10 at no cost, using basic versions to match Open Office instead of the free alternative.
